One of the most prominent disabled actors working today,  Robert David Hall’s role as a burn survivor in the movie, "Class Action” closely paralleled his real life.  In 1978, an 18-wheel truck struck Hall’s car and he was severely burned when his gas tank exploded. After several months in a burn unit and the amputation of both legs, he today walks comfortably on two prosthetic limbs.

A devoted community activist, Hall was recently asked and now proudly serves on the board of directors of the National Organization on Disability.  He just completed his term as a National Board Member of the Screen Actors Guild and is National Chairman of the Performers with Disabilities Caucus for SAG, AFTRA and EQUITY.           He sits on the boards of The Mark Taper Forum’s Other Voices Project, and The Media Access Office and is a member of the Mutual Amputee Foundation, where he visits recent amputees.
In 1998 Robert David Hall won the Harold Russell Award from the Media Access Office, presented to the actor who serves as a role model for other disabled actors.   In demand as a public speaker, he spends time speaking to organizations such as the Youth Leadership Forum for Students with Disabilities, The Amputee Coalition of America, and the World Burn Congress.
On March 23, 2005, Hall had the honor of giving the closing remarks at the United Nations General Assembly for the presentation of the 2004 Franklin Delano Roosevelt International Disability Award to King Abdullah  II of Jordan.
Hall’s appearance in “Class Action” led to television guest-starring roles in “Brooklyn South,” “Touched By An Angel,” ‘‘Promised Land,’’ ‘‘Love and War,’’ and ‘‘Highway to Heaven,’’ and recurring roles on “L.A. Law,” “High Incident” and “Life Goes On.” He also appeared in the role of “Samson” in the TNT Emmy -winning mini-series “Andersonville,” directed by John Frankenheimer.
Hall has appeared on “The West Wing” and has played recurring roles on “Family Law” and “The Practice.”  In addition to acting, Hall’s passions include music and voice work. He’s been heard in hundreds of commercials, animated series, and narrations. Musically, he plays guitar and, in the past, has sung in several bands.
Hall, who graduated from UCLA, is a husband and father of an adult son, Andrew.  Hall and his wife live in the Los Angeles area
